Hi all,
there's something i really can't undestand.
I was interested in a .info domain so i checked the whois hoping to find an email to write to.
But the domain is in this situation:

Status: DELETE PROHIBITED, RENEW PROHIBITED, TRANSFER PROHIBITED, UPDATE PROHIBITED

Expiration Date: 2007-07-30 00:49:14
Creation Date: 2001-07-30 00:49:14
Last Update Date: 2003-12-08 00:38:29

It's expired in 2007 and every action suspended, first time i find this.
Can someone explain me why?
Thank you very much,
Regards,
Alessandro.

.US domains.US domains
The name was probably used for illegal/spamming purposes.

Ok, so it will never get back on the market? It's a superpremium name...

It might be held by the registry (Afilias) .. they done it with lots of quality .info domains.

No offense..... But there is no such thing as a premium super .info domain name. Especially if you are driven by facts...

Cheers!

the .info domain you are interested in is not "superpremium."

if the domain is suspended for whatever illegal reason it should show "abuse" on the primary/secondary dns another place to look for a clue re: the domain.

Ok, if there is such a thing as a premium .info. Please show me. I accept that opinions vary but let's back up some our opinions with facts. Now I will ask the following:

1. Tell me one, just one, .info website you visit on a daily basis
2. Show me one premium .info domain name that was better than it's .com/.net/.org counterpart.
3. Show me one, just one super premium .info website

Again, no offense, just a reality check.

.info, like all other tld's has all the potential in the world but real world use is lacking. .info has the natural advantage of meaning something without explaining it's use but still development and public use is lacking. If I am wrong well then it won't be the first time but if I bring truth based on the facts, what then?

1, 2, and 3) MTA.info
I must check this site everyday (if not, at least a few times a week), living in NYC.

I know what your trying to say, but to say their is none is not true.

I suspect he simply means that its a premium keyword term - that happens to be a .info.

Ok, i'm not saying that poker.info is better than poker.com or poker.net but how much can be worthed?
Because IMHO if you compare every extension with .com you can say there aren't superpremium domains. Neither with .net or .org...

If you are trying to say there one, well I agree there is always an exception to every rule including simple arithmetic but my point and the main gist of my message is that a super premium .info is not only not very likely but extremely rare. I want to encourage anyone to evaluate what they consider "super premium" .info. I think, if honest, the majority will agree that such a beast is a indeed a rare bread like the unicorn. :)

The question is this, why do you need it? Can you get the .com/.net/.org version? .info is really second tier IMHO.

Based on what donnied79 posted here, I was able to find out the domain he's talking about.

I can confirm it's really a great domain, totally fits the extension, extremely generic and the .com version worth several millions.

edit: weblord posted it already.

weblord, I think you should consider donnied79 intention of not posting the domain even if it was easy to find.

It is indeed great domain that fit .info nicely.
I wonder what happened to this domain.

Registrant seems like successful and smart person.
He must be smart to be a member of Mensa ;)
