I own the french for FSBO (For Sale by owner) witch is famous in the U.S. it's a LLLL.fr (france ccTLD)

Do you think it's worth developping it or sell domain name?

Also in France they have a kind of leading FSBO site PAP.fr that acronyme have nothing to do with FSBO when translated. Do I have a chance to be successful?

Thanks for any suggestions.

'pap' means particulier à particulier literally meaning person to person, and in France that is "FSBO" just classier :)

what is the actual domain you have?

Yes, I know that PAP is what they use in FRANCE as similar as FSBO but it's not the real translation of FSBO, the company who launched that "brand" that name "PAP" with advertising campaing and that's how people knows PAP. I own the real name translated into french "A Vendre Par le Propriétaire" A V P P . FR that is in the dictionary of acronymes and abrev. This is the real name for FSBO

PAP is just what they branded as but not the FSBO meaning.

So maybe developping my dommain name to a FSBO will be a serious competitor to PAP?

I just did some quick research on AVPP including a Google France search fro the term - 31,500 relevant results. To me that is a good enough indicator to develop it, at least a bit.

We sold a generic French .com name (via SEDO) to the owner of the same term in .FR...

In this particular case, given that there is a good sales niche involved, it shouldn't be too hard to monetize.

I found that AVPP is a common term use in real estate in Canada(french) it simply means FSBO

I've contact some real estate companies in FRANCE offering my domain name for sale and wait, if not interested I will probably develop it but the biggest challenge will be promoting, marketing, advertising.

Should I also contact PAP.fr the leader in FSBO or not?

No, foreigners can't have a .FR just like many ccTLD (.US .DE...) but as I have many properties (Paris, Hawaii..) worldwide so I can reg it, they need your adress and phone number.

Once you build that site with some decent content, consider trying to monetize it through the eBay Partner Network for eBay France.

My domain name is ranked first in all french directories like google.fr, yahoo.fr, bing.com when typing the 4 letter in it, I still undecided if I sell it or build it. I tried to look at NP forum and don't see any .fr for sale, also it's not where to sell a .fr. Can someone tell me where I'll find a (french) buyer? I development better than selling domain when it is high ranked?
