I am wanting to start writing a book, possibly. I have two options:

1. Write one big book.
Pros: You will be introduced to all characters and plots in the same reading, and also get a final resolution

2. Write mini books (SERIES/EPISODES)
Pros: Can update at any point in time with new characters, plot twists, etc. Will also be more creative and published quicker.

Let me know what ya think :D It is going to be an action/drama

Do you know which publishers tend to prefer? It could be worth choosing based on that. Maybe contact some publishers first etc, see what they prefer in general?

I am going to make it all online for now - I will be publishing one full book soon... that's later on down the road though ;) But for now, it's all going to be through a website and such :D

Fun ends when you just write it for online selling.

Instead get some plotting software like dramatica.

Get in touch with http://www.dorrancepublishing.com or similar companies.

Check out OnDemandBooks - Home
You just enter PDF files and 5 minutes later out pops a paperback book for about $10.
They allready have a few of these book vending machines in a few schools and libraries.
These machines also make it possible to have a bookstore with no inventory of books.

That's an amazing idea :D Only problem is, Im not nowhere close to any of those locations :P I might get in touch with some local companies to publish the books though - even if I have to pay to have them published at an office store like Minuteman Press or the likes of them :P But I will get something done :) Thanks for the ideas guys :D I think I'm going to use the mini book ideas instead of the one big one - might make one big finisher book at the end to wrap everything up.

I would go with the storter version to find the interest in the readers, keep costs down and get a quicker response.
The readers might be able to motivate or influence the direction you go in. At least you could make tweaks.

Is it possible to offer both? The story in long form or broken up.

Good luck with it. Can you tell us what the story is about?

I would vote for the mini series too...that way you can check out the responses of your audience if they like it or not ;)

I have decided:

Write mini series then one big final ending, along with one continuous story of it all :)

Here is the plot:

David Averyson is your normal businessman. Clean cut, well to do man in his mid 20s. It is the year 2020, and America declares Marshall Law due to the impending terrorist attack. David doesn't like this, and snaps. He goes awal after being drafted, hiding in the woods as a rogue. He is working his way through the system to one day over throw the leader, and make one global power, where he will declare world wide peace, or so he thinks.
