I need more advice

ok if you read my last msg you will know what im on about, if u didnt...oh well anyway..
i heard that a lot of people dont have javascript turned on, so whats the point in me making a javascript rollover? and if i do it in css, the people who dont have css enabled wont be able to see it.
so i guess im supposed to do both and do the if thing to check which user has what browser so i can direct them to the correct code.
but i cant even do any of them yet. have i been killing too many brain cells recently? i could just use dreamweaver but i really want to learn to code things. i will learn this s*** or die trying

What you're saying is like saying "Some people have images turned off, so lets not use images at all in web design."

Where exactly did you get that a LOT of people have javascript turned off?

And unless you're surfing in Opera I am pretty sure there isnt a way to disable css.

In your case those issues arent even a problem! The javascript you want to use does a simple thing: Preloads images and switches 2 images on hover.

Even if someone does have javascript turned off (Which will be for a very good reason, and they will be aware of the disadvantages), the only thing that will chage is the rollover effect wont work. So what its not the end of earth. They will still perfectly see the navigation and be able to use it. They probably wont even know that the buttons were meant to have a rollover effect.
