Hi everyone,
I wanted to share a bit of my situation and hopefully get some advice.
For some time now, I’ve been working with an older gentleman, helping with site development and marketing. Recently, he decided that he wants to sell his portfolio of older domains and asked me to handle it.
I told him honestly that I don’t have experience in selling domains. His response was simple: “Go learn it.”
So here I am.
The portfolio consists of aged domains (around 25–30 years old), including a mix of brandable and niche-specific names. I’ve started listing on platforms like Afternic and doing some outreach, but I know I still have a lot to learn.
I’d really appreciate any guidance from experienced members here:
How would you approach selling aged domains like these?
What should I focus on first as a beginner?
Any common mistakes I should avoid?
If anyone is open to taking a quick look at a few names and giving honest feedback, that would mean a lot.

Aged domains don’t really mean anything unless they’re good domains.

You have some on Afternic for sale pages. I'd suggest you put your own landing pages and collect your own leads., or use Namepros landing pages or Spaceship landing pages to actually see the demand.
If you have no urgency to sell, then you can collect leads and not make a decision ASAP. The gambling niche is a bit weird, demand ebbs and flows. In my experience out bound lead gen is not a profitable one, shows desperation and the buyer will pounce on the oppurtunity.

Names wise they are OK, targeted, if they have traffic make sure to put that on the page.

If there are a lot of .com's and a few key words you may wish to approach a well known broker and discuss with them. I have no experience with them buy perhaps mediaoptions.com? I would reserve the best at first and give them a list of a spectrum of domains of various value. I am assuming most, if not all are .com's.

I am interested in the names but I probably would not give you fair value for them and someone that does a lot of sales may be the best in this case. Also when you reach out to them make sure to say you are just researching and do not make it sound like you are making an agreement with them with your reach out but that you are interested in the fee structure and how it works. It could take quite some time to do it.

If you post some of the names here, and I wound not post it as DOMAIN.COM but say something like these are all .com's:

DOMAIN
DOMAIN1
DOMAIN2

I think some people will give you an idea if they are good but you may have PM's from people trying to low ball you.

Good luck to you and the owner.

drop me a message i regularly deal with AGED + SEO domains i can give you a price that a reseller will pay for them and help you price them for an end-user if you want to keep the domains a secret just list them at ODYS thats the only marketplace where AGE is a huge factor for the buyers.
