I need an honest opinion, please...

I would like to buy the domain www.casinoplaza.net.

- it doesn't have any backlinks
- it's not developed yet
- it's 3 months old
- it's not listed in any of the main search engines

How much should I pay for it?

Well, since I see you have invested some time and effort into developing the dot org version I guess it would be more valuable to you than most but I have to ask if you have tried contacting the โ€œ.comโ€ owners to see how much they might be asking?

mid $xx man. they're asking for too much!

mid $xx is tops, do what sb said as well. Contact the .com owners and ask what they want for the domain. If you get them all 3, you're set for a good future :)

I would agree its should be in range of $20 - $40

Well I tried to talk with .com owner, but...:

Hello Dusan,

We're not selling this domain, but if you make as an offer we can't refuse, we can inform our customer.

Regards,

I said $100 and they were very rude:

No Thanks!!
------------

And I did not write them anymore, the .net owner was very rude to, when I sugested $100 to him, it was the same thing, he just ended talking with me, like he was something better then rest of the world.

Any sugestions?

Thats how much I would have offered is $100...Maybe $125 max, but I think both of these people are asking way too much...I would just stick with the .org extension that you have.

you have met the domain owner species who think that whatever you offer it is worth a lot more precisely because they have received an offer...The next question is whether you want to go to the next plateau of $250, in which case the owner will think it is worth $500, and so on...This name is worth no more than $100 so walk away....

Unfortunately for you this is all a part of the negotiation process, as has been mentioned in the previous posts itโ€™s time for you to ask yourself if the dot net is worth the $475 to $750 range the owner will likely settle on. I donโ€™t believe it to be but if you promote and continue to develop your site you probably wonโ€™t lose much traffic to it anyway.

its a good domain name but do you plan to open an online casinO?

BuyDomains isn't going to drop their price. If you've placed an offer thats lower than what they are asking they will refuse it. Wait a few months and you will receive an email with a slight price drop.

As for the .com, I would imagin you're not getting your hands on that anywhere in the $xxx range.

^^^yeah, are you planning on making an online casino

I would not spend more than $100 for the .net version. The .com domain is
worth more, of course. I'd say $750+, especially to you because you're an
enduser with an established website. A tip: don't tell the sellers that you want
to make a website under these domains. That would give them the chance to
increase their asking prices. Good luck with acquiring the domain names. And
keep on negotiating. It's important to learn the rules of the domain business
if you want to buy and sell domains in a professional way.

the problem in the current climate of casino/poker frenzy is that so many name owners think that their domain is worth, oh at least $xxxx

•••
^ yeah...there are enough poker and casino site but not all of them are worth alot. Partypoker on the otherhand is.
