I got a $8k offer from this guy (dave535**@gmail.com) yesterday for a LLL.com domain name I own.
The LLL.com is a *TV.com

Actually this buyer Dave has sent me a lot of emails with low offers to my domain names in the past, just like the inquiry spams you guys have received everyday.

I normally would ignore inquiry like this, but I decided to make a joke with Dave.
The following is our email conversation.

Hi, ***

I am interesting in your domains name *TV.com

I would like to offer you $8,000 USD for your domain *TV.com.
If you want to sell this domain, please kindly let me know!

We can use Escrow.com or other service to make the payment let me know.

Thank You and Best Regards!
Dave

Hi Dave

I'll accept your offer.

Best,
***

Hi, ***

I'm terribly sorry.
I was supposed to offer you $5,000 but mistakenly wrote $8,000 in my last email.
I would like to make it up to you by increasing my offer to $6,000.
Would this be ok for you?

Thank You and Best Regards!
Dave

Dave

Thank you, but no thanks.

Best,
***

Hi, ***

OK! Let's do $8,000!
Do you have an Escrow.com account?
If so please let me know your account email or you will need to create an Escrow.com account first.
We share the escrow fee 50/50, let me know when you are ready!

Thank You and Best Regards!
Dave

You should reply:

I'm terribly sorry.
I was supposed to accept $80,000 but mistook your offer for $8,000 in my last email.
I would like to make it up to you by reducing my offer to $60,000.
Would this be ok for you?

Thank You and Best Regards!

HAHAHAHAH

I have to say, I don't think I have seen more hilariously useless negotiation skills in my life. This Dave character is a off the hook, I mean "I accidently typed in $8000 instead of $5000" hahaha then because he is such a nice guy and wants to make up for his typo...he offers to pay you $6000.....lol. After telling him to take a hike, he comes back to his original $8000 offer...

You should reply back, I'm sorry, I READ that wrong...I was drunk when reading my emails I thought ur offer was $80 000 ...not $8000.. but I would like to make it up to you by giving you a discounted price of $40 000 ....hahaha then proceed to give you ur Escrow details and tell him to make payment quickly before you start drinking again today....lol

Just checked my inboxes, this guys uses Dave or Jonha (domainsbu**@yahoo.com)
They use the same bulk spam email pattern.
I receive more than 10 emails from him each week :)

Understandable, on a numeric keypad the "5" is situated directly below the "8". Mistakes are easily made ;)

Lol just realized that not only does he lowball you and then pretends he made a mistake and offers an even lower amount but he doesn't even want to pay the full escrow fee. If I would get the deal of a century (a *TV.com for $8K) I'll gladly offer to pay the full Escrow fee.

You should tell him that unfortunately for that price you can only sell him an LL.com. :)
