Hope you don't mind me chipping in but as this is an area i know a lot about, i think i'll just pass out my opinions in case they are useful to anyone.
Poker is enjoying its peak right now. Although i have invested in gambling domains, personally i avoid poker for a number of reasons, but most notably because the market is flooded and it's become essential to "brand", something that is near impossible in this market at the mo.
Therefore, if a new poker room or tv channel etc is looking to start up, they will need an exceptional short .com IMHO. Secondly, i think more poker rooms will go under than start up in 2006. Thirdly, the real resale market is other speculators right now or maybe low-value sales to new affiliates. I also think the affiliate market will face a turndown as we have seen hundreds of new ones "trying poker out" in the face of recent publicity and they will soon realise how hard it is.
The trouble with poker affiliations is that you need huge traffic to make the money that casino makes. You need hundreds of players to make it really worthwhile long-term. To get hundreds of players, you need to refer thousands of people to poker rooms. To refer thousands of people to poker rooms, you need tens of thousands of hits. To get tens of thousands of hits in this sector, you need *very* stong SERPS. Too tricky for most. Most (not all) affiliates will conclude that "casino", while not easy, is certainly easy-er than "poker", and more profitable with "average" traffic, if a lot more volatile.
If it were me, unless you own an instantly memorable, seo friendly ".com" poker name, i'd sell to another speculator, ditch it or move on. You may get some PPC clicks from parking but this will tail off as the poker boom recedes. It will always remain a popular game mind, but with limited speculative domain potential IMHO. Its a fooded market right now.
Cheers
