I think nearly every conceivable angle has been worked over w/ poker names. I ran a quick check on some off-the-wall names and found that the following gems have already been regged:

pokertoker.com (Yeah! That's it. Play stoned. A great gambling technique that will certainly make you a winner and set you on the road to wealth.)
ppcpoker.com (Cool. Now we can all play poker with our pay per clicks, ~ whatever TF that means.)
namepoker.com (Same as above- Simply replace "ppc" w/ "name")
crappoker.com ("I'll see your turd and raise you one- no- make that, two piles of crap.")

why people want to buy so many names? I assume it is for click not for
resell.
Can you just buy a couple domains and use many sub-domains to cover as many keywords as you want for your adsense sites?

'Poker' is a card game (there is no plural). "Pokers' are what you stoke a fire with.

I could still kick my self for selling texasholdem.com and sevencardstud.com for 500.00 dollars in 1999.

It was a friend I had for three months told me "yeah, ill give ya all the proceeds" type of deal.

Knowing when to hold'em and when to fold'em is one of the toughest aspects of the name game, IMHO. That, and finding the "sweet spot" in pricing. Heck, in '99 you would have needed a crystal ball to have forseen the way poker has taken off. If it was another game- say, baccharat that took off, the $500 for the poker names might look a whole lot better right now. I sold cheap on a couple of poker domains that were near expiry a few months back, (not in the same league as yours), and wouldn't you know it, a few days later, a couple of offers came in- one a high $xxx and the other in the low $xxxx range. -And- I didn't need a crystal ball to tell me anything- I just didn't think the particular names that I sold, (for peanuts), were that good because no one had shown any previous interest in them. Damn, sometimes domain names, simply, make me nuts! :p :o

OK, here's my list...

Some are too long, some are experiments, nearly all are recently registered within the past month and a half, many as recently as within the past week or so. I am making them links not to get people to click on them, but to avoid losing traffic (if they get any at all) because this is a very popular forum that could dilute their traffic by just posting the name. I'm also adding a little description so that it doesn't look like a link farm scam, which would also hurt them.

I receive some income every month from poker/casino names listed at sedo. I've, yet, to figure out a pattern or make any sense out of the keyword values of the individual names because, every month, it seems a different name, (or names), will step up and get the click-thru/s. One month, it's realtimeblackjack, the next it's jokerama- go figure. I can't complain, though. As long as they/something keeps stepping up, I continue to receive enough income from the niche, to justify the registrations.

You mentioned this somewhere else, but not w/ the 400K amt. That's a very tough one to have to have hanging around but, all "what if's?" are b-busters, to some degree or another. I have a handful myself, although the worst of the batch are not related to domain names. They come up, from time to time, but leave pretty quickly and ,over the years, come around less often. Regret sucks. Regretting that there are regrets, sucks even more.
