I am looking for problems to solve in brandable domaining. Is there any burning problems?
Yes, how to find buyers
How to value a brandable domain name.
Build the Estibot of brandables.
How about what to do to make buyers start chasing you?
That would be great but is it possible with brandables ?
Possible with anything if buyers buying habits are understood and leveraged. But this goes beyond "data related problems" because many other factors are involved.
I think that it could be interesting to see the reffering websites or domains used every day on BB and BR. I mean to see how many leads they have from each domain which redirects to their website. Like this, you can know how to valuate each domain, what people are typing to get there and in the end we will have a better understanding of what endusers are looking for. Also, to know the region and/or country from where they are coming from will be great. You will be a 'google analytics' of the brandables.
This problem has kind of been solved by alexa => http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/brandbucket.com
if you upgrade account you can see all brandbucket's secrets
Cctld stats and info as good as NtldStats.
I vote for that too.
I think it's also a data problem.
If a domain relates easily to a keyword/subject/problem... it'd be nice to find what other domains relate to the domain for sale (to be able to approach them directly)
If a domain is pureley invented, what sort of subjects could it be used for ?
My problem is finding the .com names rather than the buyers.
On one hand, I agree too with that too.
On an other hand, many if not most of brandable domains remain unsold.
For example, BB lists ~40k domains out of which only ~10000 get sold each year. And they are adding several hundreds each month.
So, for me, finding ways to sell brandables (or finding very precisely what the market wants to buy, especially for purely invented, meaningless domains) is more important than finding new ones.
Didn't really get what you mean by this.
This can solved. When on the move I tend to fiddle with my smart phone so it will be great if can use that energy into something else. Such as using an app that suggest quality names that are about to drop or available. So if I like the name swipe right if I don't then swipe left (nice substitute for a dating app).
You could look at the trends in brandables. Both the positive and negative aspects.
If you're a data miner, then there should be something to grab.
I like this idea too.
Separate names with a comma.
