one of my domain names is xxxxxxxxxtonight.com and there is also a different owner with xxxxxxxxx-tonight.com with the hyphen , which is a developed website . the question is when i develop xxxxxxxxxtonight.com is the hyphen website going to benifit mine re-hits . thanks for any info .

It's in your favor. The "hyphen" site might get a little of your traffic, but the "nonhyphen" site (yours) should get quite a bit of the hyphen site's traffic.

Yes, the more successful his site, the better for your site. I think it will be beneficial as people sometimes tend to miss the hyphen while typing a name in the toolbar. So it will automatically get traffic to the non hyphenated name. :imho:

you can automatically redirect your visitors from the hyphen site to your newly developed non-hyphen site.. most online users prefer not to type hyphen in the url address bar..
