If you saw a domain listed for sale for $50K and the same name with the letter e or i in front of it became available, would you register it?

No . unless the name was in common usage with "e" or "i" in front
I don't see the point in many of the "eTotallyUselessName.com" Domains anyway

If someone "listed" it, I would never even think about registering it unless that domain recieved an offer or got sold. I can go on and list 3212fdg1f23g1.com for 50k so does that mean you are going to register e3212fdg1f23g1.com? :D

E...I...E...I...Oooooooo no; it's dated

No. Putting an e or an i before a domain is a little dated. Occasionally, however, such domains do sell for a few dollars. I beleive ilawyer.com went for a few grand earlier this year.

I agree that the e and i were dated and out of fashion.I do see that the marketing of Apple's imacs and ipods have given the i prefix somewhat of a boost.
I realize that listing something for $50K means absolutely nothing until it sells.
For example if Australia.org was listed for 50K and iAustralia.org became available for reg fee.....do you think it would be a wise investment?Curious to hear other's opinions.

I agree. If it SOLD for that price or had legitimate offers for that price, it may be worth more than reg fee. I'd say it would also have to be generic and fairly short such as a single keyword to really have value. I've never had "e" domains that weren't followed by "mail", and only consider "i" domains that enhance a verb keyword (I ski, I sell, I teach) with usage similar to "my".

I disagree

Soryy guys.. I disagree. Why??? Because I have sold the following 4 domains in the past year. Not only with an "e" , but some with a hyphen too!!! Ha!!
Sure, I didn't get rich, but all were worth more than reg fee! If the name above sold for $50,000, who is to say the cheapy version with an "e" couldn't possible get $200-$1000? Never say never. Surely it is worth a $10 gamble. IMHO

www.eMail-Hosting.org $300 7/2005

www.e-Bill.info $125 4/2005

www.eWagers.net $90 2/2005

www.eAdvances.com $150 9/2004

It depends on the word. Just because someone lists it for $50k doesn't make it worth anything. If it's a common noun then it's worth grabbing. If it's regfeezilla.com then you will be wasting your $10 on eregfeezilla.com It also depends on the extension. eregfeezilla.cc would be worth even less than worthless.
