domain Hyphenated acronym domain 3d-dc.com

hyphenated domains have been doing quite well recently, but mainly in the keyword-keyword. ext variety.
Would like to hear your thoughts on 3d-dc .com

Avoid hyphens and names containing the character combination "3D" in general. IMO.

3D is ok but honestly hyphen is an issue in a domain name unless you have some plan to develop it. There are some established businesses that use hyphenated domains but that proves nothing in my opinion. Similarly there have been quite a few sales for hyphenated names. But again they are most searched keywords.

Names which are already worth mid $xx will end up $0 in their hyphenated versions imho.

Just saw a reported sale for this type of domain in one of the other threads for 5k
I'll have to take a closer look at this one.
