I just acquired huex.com and was thinking of developing it into a blog about color theory and color schemes or something, but have become aware of some interested buyers. How much would a LLLL.com like this be worth? I realize that an "x" may be negative towards price, but I'm wondering if its worth it to sell it or try and develop it myself?

Thanks!

I received an offer of $160 (basically the pool $60 + 100). What do people think?

Hold on to it.

So I've received an offer for $250 now, still hold? I kind of like this name, but am wondering if there will be higher offers in the future?

i say sell. hue+letter is not that rare in my opinion. 250 is a great price for that domain right now.

Hold in portfolio, or do not sell for anything under $xxx at the very least.

Thanks for the help everyone. If I do it, what is the best way to transfer money and the domain? I've heard of "escrow" services, but again, am pretty new to this. Any recommendations?

escrow.com is really good and easy to use.

I would sell it and reinvest the money into quality LLLL.com

I would save it and possibly put a site on there to at LEAST get some backlinks, traffic, and possibly PR to sell it for more as a established site.

sell for $250, great deal. Maybe counter the offer with a bit more?

if the buyer is trustworthy, I'd reccomend using PayPal(masspay to eliminate fees) or Moneybookers, wire transfer.

If you cannot trust the buyer fully, use Escrow.com
There are quite some fees at escrow, and it takes a while to get the transaction done.
It's the safest way to close a deal but not the easiest/fastest.

I agree, sell for 250, then buy a solid one word or a better LLLL.com

If you keep it, I'd throw up a hex and rgb color chart for quick reference. All developers need to check out the ol rgb color chart sometimes.

Yeah thats the thing though, I'm new and dont know which LLLLs would fetch a lot more than others (other than obvious CVCV and stuff).

This guy emailed me random off the whois info, so I definitely have no reason to trust him.

Sell it through escrow only, and let the buyer pay the fees. Don't get scammed!!! Beware of paypal !
