domain EasyInternetSales.com and JustPlayPoker.com

I was wondering if I could get some opinions on these two domains. I'm thinking about starting a poker-blog on JustPlayPoker.com, and developing it from there (I play poker online, when I can find the time!).

Also, for EasyInternetSales.com, I 'm wondering if it might have any value undeveloped or if I should try to develop it first then sell it. Or just develop and keep?

I'm fairly new to both domaining and to developing sites.

Why would they go after this person? Do they own a trademark on the word easy in front of any .com ( Not)? Am I missing something here?

Easy.com have easyintenetcafe.com which is very similar to easyinternetsales.com. They are a very large company that use the "easy" name in their ventures into different fields. They have a history of taking legal action against anyone who also uses the "easy" name. They went after the mobile phone "Orange" because use the same colour: http://www.easy.com/archive/28.07.05EMO.html

OIC, so they are trying to scare everyone off from using the word easy. If you use the same colors and/ or make your site look like theirs for the intent to decieve, then I can see it. Sucks but that is the way it goes I guess.

I'm no legal expert.

They are based in the UK, I'm in the USA. I know the internet is global, yet many website are specifically nation-centric. (See amazon.com as opposed to amazon.co.uk)

I had never heard of easyJet.com before today; what with me being American, and all.

I doubt they'll pursue me.

BTW, St. Easy, what's your relationship to easyJet.com? Just curious, yknow.

Suppose you develop the website and to get visitors you place an ad in a newspaper. On the opposite page there is another advertisement for easy.com. Suppose you get your site listed on a search engine. The listing below you might be easy.com. This will obviously, cause confusion in the mind of the public. People will go to your site thinking it belongs to easy.com. How do you think easy.com will react to this?

I do not work for easy.com and have nothing to do with them. I am almost certain you are in no trouble now. You asked the value of "easyinternetsale.com" I am just one person on this board with one opinion. I might be completely wrong and you might be able to sell this domain and maybe a wonderful site could be made from this domain. My opinion is how much did this domain cost you? $8 or $10? I think it would be better to write off this money and start with another name. By losing $8 or $10 now you will completely avoid any worry and trouble in the future with easy.com. If you decide to develop the domain you might spend a lot of money and years of work on your site only to lose it all in a court case.
