As you can see, when I tried to make my image slice into a hyperlink, it threw the whole allignment of my template out of wack. What is wrong, and how do I fix it?

I can't see the page at all in firefox, but did you add a *Border="0"* tag to your images?

Instead of slicingto make links, try and ise the image map tool in image ready, its airly simle and i find it works better

it probably would still be better to slice up the images than to have one huge image with an imagemap - that would take longer to load that big image. i notice that there are spaces between some of your images... make sure that you don't have spaces between your tags. for example, if you have two images, and they are in the same table cell, and say you use a <br> tag to make the second image under it... make sure that it is like this:

<a href blah blah><img blah blah></a><br><a href blah><img blah></a>


notice that there are no spaces. if you do have a space, then the browser will render that space.

try it, and let me know if it works.

ps: what i usually do though, is make a table, will a cell for each image/menu item, with cellspacing and cellpadding set to 0, then it is very easy to make it match your photoshop mockup.

well, there are no spaces, and the image is still out of alignment. and yes, i do have border=0 in the image tag

hey,

well, i looked at your source code, and i don't know if it is just the program that i was viewing it in, but i actually did see spaces between your <td> and the <a> tag. try taking them out, and see if that helps.

well heather, you were right. there were spaces. i must be having a blonde day, lol. anyway, thank you for the good advice; i think i have it squared away now :D
