I was putting this layout together, and i decided to ditch the flash mx on this one. And used photoshop. Coulda ya give me your opinion? *lol spare me*

Just a'bit hard to read, because of the color. Perhaps try playing around with it.

Yea, looks a little cluttered but its not, heh. New text color for sure. Btw, whould the layout be for? Looks like a good profile layout or something.

This layout would be used for a profile layout, or you could add navigation below or above the layout, for more content, As long as you didnt have much to say on the main page (which is often the case). Its odd, on one of my computers, the text is hardly readable. On this one however i can see the text perfectly.

Like it, but!!!!

I like the layout overall, but it seems busy or short on definition as far as the color contrast of the picture goes. That has to do with selecting your color scheme, which needs to be reworked. When I started doing web design I also went for artsy stuff. The problem is if you are looking for the search engines to pick up your site much this simply won't attract them. Use text and links to do that!
Re-do the color selection and eliminate some of the stuff in the picture. It's too busy!

tis nice(ish). Don't think that the starwars background will help you get clients, but it looks nice. I think there is a little too much "beveling" in the foreground. Do remember some things look nicer without being beveled. The text-box for instance dosen't need to be beveled. Slightly translucent, and flat would look nicer. The butterfly is too beveled. Maybe decrease it, or take the bevel away and replace with a nice glow effect. Then it is sorted!

edit: ps - don't say that it is padme and anakin because until I read that, I didn't know. It looks better when you don't know it is from the film.
pps: you may want to make sure that the background image isn't copyrighted because a good film company (w/ lawer) would have a field day on your site! :lol:

Lol its not my site layout, its just something i put together to throw into my portfolio. I like artsy stuff :S (guess its kinda a downfall at this point) lmao. For now i guess i'll take it down and stick to professional stuff, my site is located here. As it is an example, wasnt meant to start picking up search engines lol.

you might want to put a margin on the left of the text (on the pa.html page) so that it doesnt feel so smooshed together. looks like you're just starting out. its a good start. best of luck!

i like it, but i think you should put a left margin near the text, or cell padding or something..... the text is really really close to the edge of the background image
