Hello,

I have BestForCancer.com (Best For Cancer)

How would you develop this domain name? What kind of site/content would you put on this?

Any ideas you have are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Zain Dhanani

Maybe post content related to preventing cancer? Or you could just make a general cancer site

You can develop it in two ways. one is that you can put health related content in it. second is you can put the Cancer sunsign related contents in it.

Are you a qualified medical professional? If not, then why are you soliciting development ideas?

I am stunned by the number of webmasters running medical sites that have no idea what they are publishing. These bullshit sites are often ranked high in Google. And I'm not talking about people who have gone though an illness and decided to make a site about it. The people running these sites are affiliate webmasters, traffic pushers, etc... Go flip burgers at McDonalds instead.

I don't know who you're referring to but no one said anything about displaying professional advice.

I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but theres this crazy little thing called "the internet" where "qualified medical professionals" can submit informative articles and information. Then us webmasters can provide a collection of these articles (while giving credit) in the forms of blogs, article directories and other types of sites. Do you really think the webmasters that own and push traffic to EzineArticles.com, HowStuffWorks.com and About.com..are qualified in the field of every article they have on their site? NOPE, the internet..once again(speaking slowly)..the internet...allows non-professional webmasters to use the information of professionals (while giving credit) and distribute to the greater public.

So, go ahead and call Jimmy Wales(founder of wikipedia) and send him an application to flip burgers at McDonalds (like you stated)...because he's not a qualified expert on every article and piece of content on his site.

Do a Google search for "internet" and read up on it..it's fascinating stuff.

Thanks,

Just to be honest with you, the truth is I wouldn't develop this domain. Not because of any 'who should be qualified to build medical sites' argument, but because I just don't get a good feeling about the domain itself. If feels awkward, "Best For Cancer" is a very ambiguous statement, almost feels like it went through a translator and came up with this result.

It just seems to me that, if you are going to spend time developing a site, it needs to be on an upper tier domain, one where end users will try to buy the domain from you, or surfers will remember to come back to.

So, don't be offended, it's just my opinion, and I am wrong about stuff every day, but I would find a domain that flows better on the topic, and develop that one instead.

Rouge Writer:

Thank you for your honesty and the advice. I've been having second thoughts myself..since the domain is pretty long and a bit grammatically awkward (like you mentioned).

I'm thinking of developing VSDiamond.net which is a highly searched term on Google and a very popular phrase in the diamond industry (its a quality ranking of diamonds).

Once again, thanks for the advice.

Thanks,

Between the two, go with VSDiamond.net. Like you said, it's a popular search term and those are the names you want to develop.

NameClerk::

The only reason I am on the fence with VSDiamond.net, is the fact that VSDiamond.com is a running website, of a large Chinese diamond importer/wholesaler. I know the term "VS Diamond" is very common in the diamond world and valuable but I'm afraid that I wont be able to find an end-user because the .com is a large developed website. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

As an affiliate site, VSdiamond.net has a lot of potential. Check out Mondera.com 's affiliate program, they run a clean program, and go out of their way to help you make money. Jewelry niche has a good commission %, and converts well in the October-December months....

I checked our mondera and am very impressed. I've decided to join the affiliate program. Thanks so much for the help.
