How would I?

Okay I know lots of people wont know this and the admins/mods may not either, but how would you make a programming language yourself like HTML/PHP and perl...etc...etc. I have been wondering this for some time now.Can someone please help with this,

Best to stick with XML if you want to make your own tags and such. Making your own HTML type language is possible with css and xml.

I think the proper statement would be to NOT use assembler when you don't know what your doing. But of course, that takes half the fun out of it, huh?

Its not uncommon to create a special purpose programming language for a specific task.

There are tools that help you do this, such as Bison (parser generator), Flex (lexer generator), Parrot (virtual machine) and Lua.

Most of these are geared toward C programmers, but there are similar tools available in many languages. For example, SableCC is an interesting parser generator in Java.
