It all depends on the domain company and TLD.
Could you provide us the domain name or the domain company and TLD (thats the extension of the domain like .com , .net etc...)

Just start the domain transfer on the target/destination registrar/company and pay for it that should do it and since you own the admin email it will be notified that someone wishes to transfer and you approve of it.
