Namejet's saved search hasn't worked for weeks, either with IE9 or latest FF. Anyone had the same problem or solution?

how to search domains in namejet?

For a while, when you use the "Advance Search" to find the domain in namejet, if you adjust the "Max Characters" then you will return a listing unexpected. I am not sure if what I am doing is wrong because it used to be fine until a year ago. For example:

1. when I set "Max Characters" to be 4, then I click the "Bidder", it will sort the most bidders, it looks fine.

2. but when I change the "Max Characters" to be 5, I expect not only those names listed from the above 1 shown, but also extra names such as the 5 letter names would show up. However instead of more names, I see fewer names for 5 letter.

It has been a long time I have this problem, don't know if it is just me or not.

Me too. I get highly unpredictable advanced search results on NameJet. For a long time also. For me it's primarily when I choose anything other than "contains". "Ends with" being the worst, imho. There searches are no better than approx 66% reliable for me.

so what is your work-around solution if I want to search this:
1. ten letters in length, .com
2. sorted with the most bids ?

It has been long time, either no one has complained or they decided not to fix it. Are there namejet service person on this board?

hi

it may be a browser issue that's causing screwed up results, as I had similar problem

try using chrome if you don't have latest ie

I mainly use FireFox, but I hadn't thought it might be a browser issue. I'll try with Chrome next time I'm on NameJet, and let you know if it helps.

I tried with chrome, it is the same. Biggie, are you sure you don't have this same problem?
I am so surprised not many people complaining.

their advanced search is a £$%^&* disaster. I always get back only 50 names the moment i apply some filters. When calling their helpdesk (and listening to the psychedelic goa trance music they have while waiting) they will tell you to create a ticket and once they have enough similar complains they will look into it. wtf

Next time you call them, could you ask them how many tickets it takes for them to take action :)

OK. I tried using Chrome. I get the same zero results as in FireFox when I do an advance search using "Ends With". So this isn't a browser issue.

Hello,

I personally contacted them via the technical support, and they said they were looking into it. This was last year, 2012. In fact, I opened multiple tickets, and started harassing them to fix it for endless days. Nothing, it's still the same.

They did this for a reason, so you can't search for all of the best names and scoop them up.

They are starting to really tick me off, because now the 'big guys' (somehow) scoop most of the good domains and sell them for insanely inflated prices. I don't know how they search for them though.

Namejet solved this problem at the first part of this year.

I have the same issue for long long time already... Don't have any way to solve it.

However, I don't bother NJ's helpdesk since I don't have much money to join expensive auctions in past 2 years
