How to remove Afternic from Whois?

I just registered a DN today and when I looked at it within Whois it says it's for sale and has a link to Afternic.

I didn't put this there, anyone know how to get it removed?

The previous owner probably hasn't removed it from Afternic so you might want to ask them to remove it. Happens all the time.

Ok I'll contact them. I could do a support ticket with Whois but don't want to sign-up and that appears to be the only way. Thanks..

Yes, you need to contact Afternic because while contacting that specific whois service might remove it from their service, the domain would still get distributed to various other places.

If the domain registration is "private", they ask you to send a screenshot of the domain in your registrar account as proof of ownership.

P.S. afternic.sucks - they took my money.

I called them and was told it was removed from their system but when checking it's still there.

I guess it's not hurting anything since a price isn't listed now.

The whois takes some time to catch up. Thats why its still on there. It might still be in your browser cache or their system cache.
