How to pose as a business, not an individual when regging?

i see that many foreign extensions to me do not permit individuals to register names with their extensions, but they allow any businesses to. Any loop holes you know around this? I mean, if you are using the website to sell a product, or for affiliate marketing, wouldnt that be a "business"??? Anyone know about this?

Try putting your full name as the Business name.

Many Registrars (not all) require the Organization field to be completed
so normally you just type in your First and Last name and that's it and it works.

Organization: John Doe
First Name: John
Last Name: Doe
Address:

Patrick

I concur, and if you plan to use the domain for business, you are a business.

update: The comments further on in the thread make very good points. Be sure to follow the rules in the country you are registering your domain.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure that they wont take my name away if a large corporation wanted and I was in a low bracket as far as profits from the "business". Thanks Again.

To make sure you're getting good info, on which extension(s) do you see this rule?

Take .ca as an example. .ca allows Canadians, permanent residents and companies incorporated in Canada or a province to register .ca name. It wouldn't take too bright a lawyer to figure out there's no Canadian corporation called 'John Doe'. And poof your domain is gone. You'll probably never run into a problem unless someone really wants your domain. If I were really serious about a specific country code I'd do it right and make sure I met the legal requirements.

Residency requirements are different than the requirements to which the OP refers.
But glad to know that Canada still protects something

Please allow me to amend my previous comment.

I read your posting quickly and missed the part about "foreign extensions".

As I have not yet registered any "foreign extensions" ,please disregard my advice.

I was referring to the occasions where some Registrars require the
Organization field of the Who Is to be completed.

On those occasions you could just put in your First and Last name.

Heed the advice of others regarding foreign domain registrations.

Although I meant to be helpful, I apologize for possibly misleading you.
