How to monetise traffic?

Just got a four letter gqki.com, and parked at sedo.
Surprised to see there are some traffic to the domain, 70% from US.
but no click.

From sedo cannot see what these traffic are looking for
and I don't have sedopro.
Any suggestion how to find out where these traffic are from?

I have found that parking at sedo doesnt really give you much to monitor what a user does. but since parking with "namedrive" i have found that there is a setting option that allows you to see what users are searching or clicking on(in terms of related searchers). From this you can either remove unwanted searches or tailor keywords to better suit a particular region.

Also if you change the ad type to "portal" instead of "1 click" to allow boarder ad links you can probaly see what users are attracted to.

Also namedrive really pays well for clicks.

setup a page, handle 404 pages and put in the code of statcounter.com you get the keywords searched, search engines, and domain referrer.

I use http://statcounter.com to get statistics on some of my domains. It works well too.

At RevenueDirect.com you can see a complete list of what keywords visitors are searching for or clicked on in a specific time frame.

The problem with using your parking service to determine what people are after is that you can get false positives and it can take a very long time. Nobody clicking means no stats gathering... With a portal page you give a list of options to choose from, but who knows whether they clicked on a link that actually related to what they are really after. It can take some time to weed out the bogus results and really get to what they are after. The search box on the portal page is alright, but I find that people rarely use it.

The stat counter method is often far superior because it gives untainted results and produces those results much more quickly. Its drawback is that if those searchers really were direct navigation there won't be anything in the referrer logs. If someone found your domain through a search engine you can see exactly what they typed into the search engine to find you. If they typed your name in directly there is no data to be gathered.

I would reccomend you start with a simple page utilizing of the stat counter scripts mentioned above. If they don't produce results after a week or so, then move on to using a portal page for the next few weeks. If by then you still don't know exactly what your users are after let it set on a search portal page for a month or two.

I too need to do this on some of my parked domains. What's the best way to set up a page for this? Just put statcounter on a 1 page wordpress site?

You can direct a domain to your hosting account, to a single page that runs the stat counter script. On that page Make an IFRAME that is the size of the whole screen that loads your parking companies lander.
