The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

You have to submit you domains for review via the link on you account dashboard. If your lucky (doesn't appear to have anything to do with quality ((yes I'm bitter lol)), they will list your domains for you.

Need to be verified, also.

I think networking, knowing somebody helps. I've submitted some, ones I've won at auction there and other places, ones that had multiple bids. No reply. One of the suggestions I made in the NP suggestion thread was to have some cobrand auction, a Namepros Auction at Namejet, comprised of hand picked names from members here, that can't get in themselves.

Sounds like a great idea!

I believe the GM at NameJet is the one who deals with this. I don't want to post his name here so he doesn't get bombarded, but his initials are JT if you want to try to find him :)

I've heard that it is practically impossible to get a response by submitting the following form unless you have some exceptional domains to sell or a very high volume of mid-tier names:

http://www.namejet.com/Pages/MyAccount/ListYourDomains.aspx

There are also some people who have brokerage accounts at NJ that can list domains for you through their account, I believe one of them is Media Options. They may be even stricter than NJ though because their time is very valuable, but at least you'll get a reply instead of sending it into a black hole.

I think this is a really good idea that would both help sellers get listed, and also serve as a revenue stream for NamePros because they would get a piece of the action. It would be a nightmare to do the selections though, I used to moderate the high priced forum and it wasn't fun. Maybe they could come up with a voting system to crowdsource the ones that get selected, and you have to vote to earn credits to submit your own domains?

I really do hope something like this would come into reality. You know Bido has a voting system that you talk about but they don't have the buyers there (I'm sure my $500 purchase was one of the highest there). Namejet has the buyers but not the crowdsource voting system.

I actually got off the phone with Namejet an hour ago & asked them what it takes to get a name listed in the open auction. It was someone from tech so he didn't have the answers. I'm pretty sure it's a "who you know" which gives some people preferential treatment.

As Michael pointed out - it seems like you are submitting names into a black hole. I look at many of the names that somehow got listed & think "How the hell does that name get listed but my one-word .coms or 2-word category killers don't?". Heck I would be willing to likely list several names with no reserve based on sales activity I see at Namejet.

Anyway - Namejet could be massively increasing their income allowing more people to list quality names. The crowdsource voting system would save them time plus drive more buyers/sellers to their site. That's pretty easy to see IMO.

Anyone know what Namejet gets for commission percentage-wise and minimum commission?

I was accepted on namejet, but was told I had to move all the names I wanted to auction from my godaddy acc to enom.
I declined.
