The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

WOW this is good. One feature that we don't have in real life.

The weird thing is, some members cannot be ignored.

Sure.

The even more weird thing is, if I'd like to I could successfully ignore Mark (who's a bit higher in the hierarchy), but not others.

Where can I find the User Id #, or is it simply their user name?

Venture if you click on the users name and hover your mouse over the view public profile link the user id is the numbers at the end of the address you see at the bottom of your browser.

In your case it your user id is 45230

Just testing
Sorry, you can not add yourself to your own ignore list.

I can't get this to work. I've tried both the way suggested in the this thread and via block user in the profile section. Are there any other methods?

View the user's profile and click the link that says "Add to ignore list" ?

RJ, I did that. The user shows in my ignore list but his posts are still appearing in the forums and instant notification emails. I had a PM stored from him and opened it after I blocked him, perhaps this is the reason why it's not functioning?

I will see if remove / add does the trick.

Hmm... I don't know then. Are you trying to block a NamePros staff member?

Anyone else using the ignore feature and finding it not working?

It's working fine for me - I just ignored "Venture" as a test - Can't see their posts within this thread right now.

Did you make sure you confirmed the Ignore by hitting "Submit" ? It is a 2 step action via the users profile.

Also : http://www.namepros.com/profile.php?do=editlist

You can manually add usernames in there.

No, it isn't a staff member.

I think it may be working now as I haven't seen any new posts since I removed and added him again to my ignore list.

I used both methods. The problem may have been caused because I opened a PM by the user after I blocked him.
