Hey all,

I have never used NameDrive for a spanish domain name before. I can't seem to get the one I have parked there to show up with spanish text. A few of the adds are in spanish but all the links and many of the ads are in english. I set it as latin america region.

Anyone know how to fix this? The domain only gets 20-30 uniques a month so I want to get as many clicks out of it as possible to pay for the reg fee at least. :)

the spanish ads must be show by default if your visitor came from any Spanish country.
Its is by default, but you must to set up a spanish word or sentence so see ads in that language to get good results.

That's not entirely true. Spanish visitors will see Spanish ads even if your keyword is in English. Same way if you're in the US you will see English ads even if your keyword is Spanish. I'm in Spain and I always see Spanish ads. I have Dutch domains where I use Dutch keywords and still the I see relevant ads in Spanish.

If I want to see what ads are showing up in the US I go to the domain through a proxy website that's running on a US server. I don't know any proxies in Spain though. Maybe someone here on NP has one.

Also remember PPC can vary in different regions. In Europe for instance you won't get paid as much for keywords like "Florida real estate". To get around that ND lets you set different keywords for each region.

Not sure how it works, but it does seem to be regional originating.

But some just "end up" that way.

This is not a promo, but see my doye.mobi. I see a great mix of languages...Hindu, English, and Spanish. Now it may change when you search it, but it was there.

Another thing you can try:

In your control panel for ND, select the name, then select SETTINGS. You will get the regions such as NORTH AMERICA, EUROPE, ASIA, and so on. Click the MAGNIFYING GLASS ICON next to Europe and this will give you a good indication of the ads appearing for that region, especially if your keywords are in spanish.

I have several French, Italian, and Spanish domains and usually most will come up in that native language.

This is especially true for my Chinese IDN's which I love to actually be able to see in Chinese script knowing that my ads are targeted to my audience I am trying to reach.

Well kwan, you are telling pretty the same than me.
I said that if you want better results you must to set up the domain with spanish word or sentences.
Just check what happens if you use "mortgage" in any spanish name. Normally no ads would be shown.

No need for you and Kwan to argue about anything. You both gave me a bit of help and I appreciate it and have repped you both. As far as I am concerned this thread is closed.

Thanks All :)

Sure, just PM me your account name and password and I will transfer it to you, promise. :hehe: :)
PM sent. Also sending along my bank account username and password so you can verify my identity. If that doesn't work, use the credit card numbers I submitted. They should all match up. Worse comes to worse, let me know and I'll give you the answer to the secret question and my mother's maiden name.

Gee, everyone on this forum is swell. You mobi people are the swellest.

No one is arguing here. You're right, I misread what you wrote. It's true you will get better results with Spanish keywords. I just pointed out that keywords are translated.

One of my names is busreis (= bus travel, in Dutch) and the keyword is busreis. But in Spain I see ads about "viaje de autobús".
