How to hide my IP address while using dreamweaver?

i know there are programms that hide your ip when you are browsing internet using the internet explorer. but is it possible to hide your ip address when you are using ftp explorer or dreamweaver to access the web?

Your first problem is FTP explorer - get FireFTP addon for Firefox.

Why do you need to hide your IP address in FTP or Dreamweaver? If you aren't doing anything wrong, there should be no need to hide it....

But, if you must, you could consider Secure FTP transactions....

What are you talking about boy!!? now that i am setting up an e commerce site and have sensitive info on my server and my computer i would like them both secure. even if someone may breaks in to my server they may not be able to break in to my computer through my server if... i don't have my IP on my server..

Although that's not exactly making things more secure...you'd be sending the sensitive info through the proxy server (they keep logs)

If you use secure server (ssl-https) it is 128 bit encryption. Any common computer takes years to break it. So if you by ssl for your site, there should be no issues.
