How To Connect To Irc?
By: William R. Nabaza of http://www.williamrnabaza.com
Irc means internet-relay chat. You can chat in real-time, and there are gazillion of irc benefits that you are missing if you're not connected to it. I am using irc for business chat like buying and selling.
1. Download the best irc client in the whole world from www.mirc.com/get.html
2. Install it on your computer by following the simple instructions provided.
3. Fill up full name, email, nickname and alternative w/ one keyword, alias or even a 1 word nickname you want
4. See the list of servers on top, notice the buttons: add, edit, delete and sort. Click on add and it wiil open up another window. You will see description, server, port, password and group. On description and server, type irc.nabaza.com. On port, leave it as 6667, leave password blank and on group, type nabaza.com
5. You will see the motto of the day, some news, rules of the irc network and the irc network statistics. This simply means that you are connected to irc.
6. To view a list of rooms, type /list, to join a room simply double-click it or you can type /join #lobby or replace lobby with any word coinciding with your expertise. You can see me there chatting as weblord, see you there.
Irc.Nabaza.com has the following services to serve you: nickserv, which protect your username; chanserv, which manages channels or virtual rooms; memoserve, which manages memos for users; botserv, which functions as chat robot adding additional entertainment to the irc; hostserv, which shields your real ip address; operserv, which are exclusive commands for irc operators.
