The thing with Go Daddy expiring domains is there are a few gems in there, but a hell of a lot of crap. You will of course find a LOT of junk domains being sold for $100+ which are next to useless so you have to be prepared for that.
I figure if I get a good one within 10,000 results or 20 pages I am doing okay
It all depends on how patient you are
For example, right now on the first page of the auctions you will see fightingcellulite.com, this is quite a good prospect with the bid at just $10 but I expect it to go upwards to around $100-150 by biddings end.
You also have appappy.com which I wouldn't rate as being worth 100th of its asking price of $19,200. Go figure.
If you have a group with thousands of members you can throw a link out to them all and some will go there, it is junk traffic and not worth a damn thing but it does have the effect of making a domain look like it gets a lot of traffic.
99% of people tend to ignore these traffic stats but we were all newbies at one point and more than likely got took in by this most simple of scams lol
I look through them a lot, you can actually get one right now with the buy option called acnechocolate>com
It has a small search of 260 exacts per month with broad search approaching 10,000, but only 21,000 pages of competition, for the auction price of under $5 it is worth a punt at the very least
