would anyone be willing to appraise the 4 web sites i have, and how much they would be worth if i wanted to sell up and move onto bigger projects

Definately, finish them up with the content, establish some regular traffic to them, get them in the search engines, and they'll be worth a lot more than what I quoted.

As it is right now ... $250 - $375+, IMHO. Naturally, further development and recurring traffic will boost valautions .
Good domain name, as well ... $45 - $60+ ... more for the .COM, less for the .CO.UK, also IMHO.
