domain How much is this domain/website worth?

We launched CpaStudyGuide.com about 1 month ago and since then it has produced 2K plus of income, alexa ranking keeps climbing althouth it is not all that high yet, and it is listed on the first page of google when searching for cpa study guide I just received an email from one of the big CPA material companies asking if I would be interested in selling the domain and website to them, but I need to know what a reasonable offer would be at this point. Anyone out there wish to provide me some insight as to the real value??

To get an idea maybe run over to sitepoint and check how much some sites are going for that make that amount of income.

Thanks for the response and yes this site did bring in just over $2,000 its first month. Based on my research it appears as thought there are currently about 125,000 people who are considered CPA candidates right now so the income potential with this CPA Material website equates to $2.5 Million dollars if we could get everyone to purchase the full package. Obviously this is not going to happen but if even 10% of the that population were to purchase that is still $250,000.

I would estimate that your site would be worth 8x revenue (years) or about $192K, but it would not hurt for you to ask them politely how much they wanted to offer.

Thanks for the advice but I think they are wanting me to show my hand first since they did not post an actual price. The email just asked if I would be willing to sell and sign over the copyrighted materials that we have that go along with the site. I think we found a niche that appeals to cpa candidates and I would just like to be more informed when going into negotiations with the big guys. Thanks for the responses so far.

A few additional stats about the website. It was actually launched at the end of July so the stats listed below are from August and September (MTD).

August - 1,255 unique visitors
September - 502 unique visitors

So far a conversion rate of just under 10% of all visitors buy from this site. I need more opinions as to what $$ I should ask the potential buyer for. I have heard from high xx,xxx to low xxx,xxx but I think that is really high since this is a fairly new site. Anyone else wish to share their opinion or provide me with the resources to accurately appraise this domain and website. I want to be able to approach the buyer this afternoon ready to discuss a deal.

Would you guys say that $25,000 would be a reasonable expectation for this website sale? If I take the first month and a half of sales and calculate the annual revenue from that and then take it times 1.5 that is how I came up with this amount. There are approximately 150,000 cpa candidates right now so that calculates to be just under $3 million dollars of maximum revenue potential so if I could sell it for 1% of the potential that seems fair to me. I welcome any additional comments or suggestions.

Nice professional looking site! As good as it is doing for you, it would probably be doing that much better if the "Click here to Purchase" button was positioned a little higher (above the fold). It makes a difference in conversions believe it or not.

Thanks for the information and suggestions guys. I got the initial offer from my potential buyer and it was under $10,000 which is only about 5-6 months of income so I sent back a counter offer and I am looking for other buyers. I hope to get around $18,000 for this site or I will just hold onto it for a while longer. Anyone on here wish to make me a reasonable offer?

Anyone else care to appraise this domain and site? I have the domain and website listed for sale on the "high dollar domain" section with a starting bid of $6,000 and BIN of $9,000. I realize the amounts are low compared to the monthly income and future potential but I really need the funds for a down payment on a house.
