Now, I don't mean this as a bad thing or anythin, I hope this is okay to ask publically :) I am just curious.

I'd guess about 1.2 million .... what do you all think?

Well I guess it could but how ?
30k is a lot to earn in a month. If so then it would be worth much more
than 1.2 for sure. thats my guess.

Exactly...If I owned this site, it would be very hard for me to sell it

Ad clicks alone must bring in a considerable sum.. however, as was pointed out, without knowing the traffic and approx daily revenue, any amount is a guess.

But, I'd be more inclined to go with a $75k - 150k value as my guess.

Been discussed to death in past threads, most recently here
http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=90822

Two things make it a safe bet that will not be having new owners at NamePros, 1) Its not for sale (nor am I insterested in hearing offers or value speculations), and 2) NamePros is worth more to me than it would be to anyone willing to make an offer. Someone would have to make an offer so far fetched from its actual value to even make me think twice.

You might as well appraise the White House or the Golden Gate Bridge. :) I don't depend on NamePros for my personal income, nor am I looking for a payday, so its easy to turn away potential suitors. We've had a few.

Simply reading above ^^^ Shows that this is RJ's passion,He built it,He loves domaining and the domain name industry. It also sends a good message in my opinion that "money" is not everything,NamePros is priceless in my opinion,Somethings aren't meant to have a price tag on them,I believe this applies to NamePros,The hard work, comittment and dedication that has been put into NamePros must be extremly rewarding to RJ,He has done an outstanding job in every aspect of building this site.My hopes will always be that RJ never sells NamePros,I don't believe he ever will,NamePros would not make it without RJ being the owner,I truly believe that.

Though I've most certainly never owned something as large as Namepros (or even in the neighborhood for that matter) I can certainly understand RJ's feelings. When you build something from the ground up and it becomes a hit, it's worth much more than any physical price. The sheer amount of work and love that went into this site is priceless and given the one-of-a-kind community spirit this site really goes beyond priceless.

If you want to put a price on it, putting all of the above, I'd say it's worth no less than low $xxx, xxx. However, that's just estimating the cost a forum of this size and not the cost of a community this size.

Glad to hear you say what you did, RJ. I've been a part of some other large forums (one in particular) that changed hands and things always go downhill. NP is too good for that.

I totally respect RJ's response and I understand everybody's feelings for this community. I'm pretty new to NamePros but I already like it here. No offense but pleeeease guys don't be so naive... everything has a price ;) Keep up the good work!

Wow Ron!

I'd say all the praise is worth a great deal. Add me in there, I've been impressed too.
