How much did you invest in domain names?

It would be interesting to see the results of this poll. So, how much did you invest in domain names, since you've bought your first domain?

This includes all costs monetary associated to a domain name: registrations, after-market/auction purchases, renewals.

This is just a complete guess, but if I had to throw a number out there, I would say I have spent between $1-5K...

I would have guessed about 10 to 15 K.
After checking, I find it's near 30 k

The number of year in it will skew this total a lot. Some have been doing for only a couple years or less, others for 7-8 years or even more.

I got into the game for 2 months and spend $4K on it. Would stop little while buying Domains and to focus on Sales in next few months

I'm poor so I started out regging a few names. Altogether I've probably spent around $100, maybe a few bucks more.. Probably made 600% profit on that, but my wife wouldn't let me reinvest it. So now I don't tell her when I sell domains... But yeh, it's definitely possible to make a good profit starting with little money and if you can afford to reinvest that money, you can gradually grow to where you're tossing around big money, at least in theory.
