How is it a PR 3?

I have a site, http://codelyoko.us, and for some reason, it is a Google PR 3.

I do not have any active members on the forum, that is somehow a PR 2, and I only have 5 approved (including me) registered users.

I really don't have any backlinks, is this a fake PR or something? I know sometimes when pages don't load correctly, it shows the PR from another site you went to last, I just noticed this today, but last time I checked, it wasn't even indexed on Google PR (yes, it is on google though).

Can someone tell me if this is real?

Thanks.

My game folder is it PR3 with only entries in directories (remember how directories are supposed to be a waste of time?!?!).

My main page is at PR2 with nothing coming up for "link:upwithabang.com" in Google.

I strongly suspect that you can get up to PR3 with good content only. I think >PR3 is when inbound links start to take a bigger role. But that is only a guess from my experiences so far.

Yahoo shows 218 incoming links to your site and those are only the links that Yahoo has crawled.

How old is the domain?
Has it ever been active before that?

You have a backlink from frihost.com, which is showing as PR4. That should explain the PR3 ranking.

Actually 1 link from a PR4 site shouldn't explain a PR3 :imho:

AHA7 - The domain was registered in late June and had not been really edited until August, and I still don't have active members.

Yandig - I don't have a link directly from Frihost, maybe on a few posts, but I highly doubt that because I rarely ever discussed about it there.

Gene - Thanks for finding that, I had not even thought of that site.

Maybe you didn't make any backlinks for your site, but someone else make it for you. You should check again by Google search

You Do have a link directly from frihost, but I won't post it here. I easily found it on a major search engine. Frihost.com is a PR4 site, and is probably mostly responsible for your PR3.

IMHO of course ;)
