Unfortunately, DAN.COM gives sellers basically no information on person who makes an offer. Not even their complete name (sometimes you only get a first name), no email address, no phone number, etc.

A platform I have used Domain Name Sales (UNI) automatically supplies all that info and more to seller. In fact you get the complete inquiry contact details if it's brokered by DNS or self-brokered,

How important is it to get that information? Is it a negative without it? If yes, please explain why. Thanks.

I have gotten full name on DAN as some sign up with their name. A name can be fudged anywhere and very often is. What’s more important is pricing which should always start on the high end if you are aiming for specific end users and the name warrants it. I personally don’t care very much who bought it if I get my asking price.

The problem is if John Sculley makes offer and upon investigation by using his phone or email you see he is a Sr Vice President of Apple Computer in San Francisco buying for an Apple product or Division you would likely expect a much higher price VS John Sculley a farmer/domainer in Nebraska for example.

P.S. You will usually need more than a name to figure out who they really are.
