How does a domain receive the traffic?

I am new to the domains industry so I am still learning. REading the forums a lot but still can't figure some things out.

Talking to a dozen of people I understand that we are not allowed to bring traffic to the parked domain no matter what. If they are not typos how will they get traffic if the domains are newly registered?

Are we allowed to park domains that have thousands of back links and get massive traffic ?

expired links are ok ,they like massive traffic

But don't expect the links or the traffic to stay in place for very long after it expires. And if it has pagerank, that will be reset to 0.

many people not me, type in a domain on what they are looking for ie if they were looking for blue pencils there first step is to type in bluepencils.com and see the results, I only have type in names of generics i dont get a ton of traffic but am still profitable
