Well there is no one single way in which to value a website for sale.

But here are some parameters you can use to value your blog:

- Revenue - how much is your blog making a month?. You can sell based on revenue multiples, i.e x10 mths revenue
- Content - is it unique, if so, you could charge a premium for that?.
- Theme - is it unique?. again this could be used to determine part of the value of your blog.
- Script/ Platform - did you build the script yourself?.

I would sort of browse through flippa.com to see how folks are selling their sites, and see what types of parameters they're using to value their sites...

good luck...

If you have a blog, then you must consider these things in order to value your site.
1. How many subscribed users are there? If the number is big means more than 10 K then its good enough though in some cases 5 k is acceptable.
2. How many daily visits you get except your regular readers.
3. ranking in search engines
4. content, ( original, unique and of good quality), and
5. Ad clicks, this is something that is optional, but if you have a good click ratio per day then you can get a really good price for your blog.
6. Theme

A good start is to find other blogs that are being sold that can be compared to yours. Evaluate your blog's strengths and weaknesses against the other blog. When you've made careful comparisons, adjust the other seller's price according to how your blog stacks up.

Yeah, to add to this - it may help to find out what search engine 'keywords' or 'terms' get you your SE traffic.

If it is a competitive word, and you get decent traffic - despite the keyword being a competitive one...your blog's value should increase.

All that said - I feel that it'll be suicidal to sell stuff now (with the recession and all).

If you could, :imho: you should wait this recession out and sell when times are merrier
