Some guy on flipside named IvanBiggen taught me and he gave me 1 billion dollars in flipside cash (max you can have). He was so nice. Then I got bored of it.

If you buy any deck of cards there should be a card showing you the poker hands.

As for the betting... well... basically you take turns betting by either calling a bet (betting the same number), raising (raising it to a higher number), or folding (basically you give up this turn and lose whatever you put into the 'pot').

How you play is your own style... poker is about bluffing and luck, and skill some might say..

Anyway I don't play poker because I tend not to gamble or waste money on things that are very dependent on luck. I tend not to be a very lucky guy.

Watching TV, websites, and most of all just playing with my friends. The more you play the better your instics become, and the more instictive you bet.

I think I do understand the basics.

Does anyone know if I can sign up pokerstars.com but play for fun. (no money)
as I first want to learn the game much better before I play with real cash.

Yes you can do that. Make a pokerstars account and play with "play money." I think playing to learn for low stakes .01/.02 is better than play money because you won't get so many wild all-in's who don't care about the money. For just a few cents you can play moer quality poker.
