With over 85,000 registered members here at NamePros, (wow!) I've stumbled across some random/weird/funny usernames that always make me wonder why someone chose that for their username.

The question is:

How did you come up with your user name?

first time i saw a browser too way back then i thought to myself it would be cool if i know all my way around on the web, then came that username lord of the web, too long for me, so i made it weblord
before your username on irc can be "stolen" so I made up different variants of it as it's allowed on irc like "web-lord", "Web|Lord". "|weblord|", "|web-lord|"

My story is really weird.
Y'all must be wondering, why something s unusual as Basement?

I was just about to register a NamePros account when all of a sudden my bud asked me to come to the basement to test out a cool idea (believe me you wouldn't want to know the gory details, let me just say it involved fake blood and some petrol)

When I came back I had to choose my username and then I suddenly thought "Hey! Why not Basement!"

Well when I started back in 2005. I was creating a lot of mayhem around. So when the registration form asked me my nick name. I entered "Nick_Mayhem" :D

But then I thought NP is a good place. Not the place where I would like to create mayhem so changed it to -Nick- Copied that starting and ending dashes from -RJ- :D
