advice How bitcoins work ?

One of end users offered me bitcoins for my domain name. I have no idea how bit coins work or even what bit coin is ? Can anyone throw some light how it works ? And is it safe ?

I just checked the mentioned Coinbase - they support only 32 countries...

I use BLOCKCHAIN.info no issues, no hacks, completely anonymous. However, you may not convert directly to cash with Blockchain.info or buy more coins directly with blockchain.info if you are in the U.S. (currently SEPA only).

I also have a coinbase but that is not anonymous, in the U.S. must verify your identity and give a SS # or EIN.

bitcoins is good and i really like bitcoins currency because of its high increasing of rate time to time.
