Hi all,
What is the appraisal for Talk.com

I was thinking of doing a cellphone vertical site with all affiliate content and ads.
Buy cellphones and plans, ringtones, mobile content, etc...

thoughts?

IMO if your domain name is talk.com then you are sitting on excellent name, not less then xxxxxx (This is my individual opinion)

Your company shold turn into a holding company build a company around this domain as an cellphone/ mobile accessory celler and selling ringtones specifically be only directed towards that niche and make millions a year on internet sales by becoming the amazon for mobile accessories and phones

As is, high $xxx, xxx to low $x,xxx, xxx.

Definitely turn it into a cell phone service reseller. I know people can buy T-mobile franchises but i'm not sure whether it can be operated online. Would be worth looking into :)

Is the 'cat out of the bag' so-to-speak? :hehe:

Back to the topic at hand, you have a very nice domain. Alone, it would fetch high $xxx, xxx to low $x,xxx, xxx as stated above. If this domain is developed and traffic stats rise, you are sitting on quite a bit of moolah :lala: :gn:

I din't really believe you have this gem but in the case that you do:

vibrators.com sold for $1m il recently.
toys.com fetch about $5mil, I think

I could almost guarantee your talk.com could net $3mil to $5.5 million What phone company wouldn't want this?

In fact, I can guarantee you could put this in the next TRAFFIC auction with a $1million starting bid. If you would rather get a paycheck than develop, go here http://marketplacepro.moniker.com/a...campaign=TrafficWest_Call4Submissions_2-19-08 Best idea for ya is to sell. But if you have the time, I'm sure you could make a killing developing this

sure enough to make you a millionare. Even more. IMO is should be min $5MN.
Lot of potential. Suggest to put in snapnames / great domains auction.

It could be worth millions!

Try contacting AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, or similar firms offering mobile services.

FYI:

Finance.com was sold to Citi Group.

Mobile.com was sold to AT&T.

Loans.com was sold to Bank of America.

All the best! :)

I think it is hard to give an accurate appraisal on this domain because it depends on how much the mobile phone and other phone companies want it. If for example all the big companies try and aquire it or bid for it then it could reach a few million $$. Toys.com is a good example.

I believe that if you hang onto this name until the market is right you will easily get high $xxx, xxx or even $x,xxx, xxx

Even now you can easily get $xxx, xxx

There are many end users & uses for this domain. Could be communication companies, could be good for a forum, could be great for chat rooms, or heck even for some sort of voice technology. Talk.com, dev & brand a nice voice activated web browser!

There is so much potential for a domain name like this.
