How About Directory Submission?

When promoting your sites, mini-sites, and parked domains (if allowed by parking TOS), do you submit to directories? If so, how do you do it? Do you submit yourself manually, use a paid service, use a web site submitter, or use a program on your PC? What is the name of the submission tool(s) you use? Where do you get your list of directories?

An example of a web site for doing semi-automated directory submission yourself is: www.DIRZAP.com.

An example of a free, mostly-automatic submission PC program is: www.digiXmas.com. The program and submission to 150 PR-0 directories is free. You pay a one-time fee of $10/domain (or less for more domains) for the full service, which can submit all your domains to 600+ directories (up to PR-6).

If you never submit to directories, why not?

Well, I took a look at the Website Submitter demo video, and it is not anywhere near as easy to use as digiXMAS, which you can download (use link in my previous post) and use for free for 150 PR-0 directories. For one thing, digiXMAS has a heuristic algorithm which automatically figures out the category for each directory, and for another, it presents the submission for every directory in the same consistent and easy to read format.

The full service is now up to 717 directories (up to PR-6) and is only $10/one-time for unlimited submissions of one of your sites.

Website Submitter also autoselect the category. Lets say you have 5 sites? Then the prices start to go really up no? With Website Submitter you have once 47$ and then unlimited submissions for 2 years. Website Submitter has now 2406 directories, quite a lot I would say.

Look for a thread I started on digixmas - which i also use extensively for a list of over 400 pagerank directories to use for free with the software.

digixmas just came out with an update and it's even faster to use!

The count for the paid digiXMAS automated list is over 700 now! And updated every day.

How many of the 2,406 are free WITHOUT requiring a reciprocal link?

Website Submitter has 1525 free directories. Statistics using Google PR you can see in the attachment screenshot.
