Hi,
I am currently with Hosting Zoom, and have been for about 9 months, but since the change over of reseller accounts onto the new site so it is now under resellerzoom, I have been experiencing unease.

Before I never had downtime but since the change there has been alot more. And it has been increasing each month.

Also the server load is much higher before it use to be under 0.5 but now it is 2.92+

Also all my sites take alot longer to load, and the phpmyadmin usually crashes if I try to do anything with more then 25 records at a time.
(by crashes I mean after a while I get page not found page)

Also since about a week I have been experencing that the site goes down for about 1 minute then is back up, as I have a few forums on the account people get annoyed as weel as me as when you are trying to post the site has dissappeared.
-------------------------------------

I wanted to know what would people recommend should I change host or has this become the norm for reseller hosting?

I am paying $25 per month for 5GB space and 75Gb bandwidth

p.s. sorry for the super long intro.

thanks for looking

Yup i double on that i got an extereme package with them , simply the best . IF want more info on them pm me,i know the deepest details about them , that most dont :hehe: :hehe: hope nick doesnt mind me saying that here.

Anyways , if ur disappointed with them i will give u the refund on their behave that is how good urbanhostonline.com is and how much i trust them. Hoping such a trust is never broken, as it would be really really sad if that unfortunate even occurs , but for now as i said i will give u ur refund if ur disappointed with them , i doubt anyone here been hosted with any other host has such guts to say about their providers .

thanks for your responses,
do they do any reseller packages, as I couldn't see any on their website, all how long have they been around, (not trying to be rude, but their website design looks basic + some links not working on their site).

thanks

I spoke to technical support about the load problems, and he told me, that less then 0.5 which is what I had when I started with them, was great but upto 3 was fine and normal ( certainly not normal from previous experience). And he didn't answer for the increase.

Also on the forum my server downtimes are increasing each month since the change over it started at 100% and has decreased to 99.6% not sure what it was for november yet, maybe lower.

I totally agree with you that it is a big headache searching for a host.
Last time before I changed to hostingzoom I searched for a long while.

The problem is some people seem to offer good prices but then charge for all extra items such as private nameservers, etc.

Which of their servers are you on?

thanks

ridesign, all the links appear to be working fine for me. Even with the WWW. Also, we have been web hosting since December 2004. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

You can find our hosting plans at http://urbanhostonline.com/compare.htm

and you can find our reseller plans at http://urbanhostonline.com/reseller.htm

Thanks,
Nick

I left RZ 3 months ago. There putting way to may sites on the servers. Yes they seem to think server loads of 3/4+ are fine when well they arent. I suspect when you was put on the server you were one of the first on it I had accounts on Jackson and on Mars server.

Mars is known at RZ for having one of the highest loads and when i started on Jackson the load awas aroun .02 for a week or so then it got flooded with new accounts and always hung around the 2+ mark.

I then decided to leave as their support has declined and now seems like its outsourced. Keit cannot handle the amount of clients no more i dont think.

Its cheap for a reason. I think its time to move on. Im now at asmallorange.com and their loads are around .2/0.5 and they do not oversell as they have now suspnded new account signups due to no server space and Sun Systems messing up their new server delivery.

Good Luck in what you chose. Moving Server is a short term fix if they even gran you a server change.

thanks for your reply.
At least now I now I am not the only one with these problems.

I am seriously thinking about changing host but the problem as everyone knows is finding a host which is reliable in the long term.

I agree with the statement yes. Its not easy to find a good host and in this day an age its far to easy to get caught up in the hole where all these 'newbiee' hosts are there one week and then gone the next.

It maybe worth while looking over at webhostingtalk.com at reviews.
