I have a business that sells broadband via wireless to business customers. I have about 9 megs of fiber that I am not using and have decided to put a server on it. Today I purchased a Dell PowerEdge with a Pentium D dual core processor (2.8 Ghz), 1 gig ram and two 250 gig harddrives (one for mirroring). Unfortunately the OS is going to have to be Win server... :'(

I have really gotten use to cpanel and like it, but my tech guy says he prefers to work with windozzz.

My questions are:

Are there any other programs that I can use like cpanel that will work on windows?

Assuming most of my sites are around 20 - 50 meg (mostly for flash), could I figure that my server will accomodate around 1000 sites?

Thanks for your thoughts! :xf.love:

Plesk would work ok, you can get it directly from there site for ~$29.

Just google webhosting control panel for windows, you should come up with a few :)

Checkout Helm maybe?
I think that's a windows based Control Interface

That's even more expensive ;)

I never tried this, but it seems to be the first one that comes up on a google search:

http://www.cwipanel.com/

I'd recommend a monthly lease instead of purchasing if that makes the price lower, as in the case of Plesk, etc. Unlimited domains seems to be $69.99/mth
