A reseller allows you to sell Hosting under your own name/company, with Affiliate programs you simply have a link, this means that the customer would have to go to another website to order. Another bad point to affiliates is that your usually paid on a percentage basis such as 30% per sale. With reseller you make 100% profit (minus the fee you pay per month for the hosting package).
