Hosting for Arcade site?

Hi all,

I have the option to run an arcade site with up to 1000 games. This equals to about 6000 meg.

How do other Arcade owners get hosting for this amount of space and bandwidth at a cost effective price?

Also, any suggestions for web hosting will be great.

most of the games are no where near that average (1000 games 6000 megs which roughly equals about 6 megs each) most of the games in mine are under 200K. But as for a host I've been with Site5 for a while now, great uptime, good support

From experience managing several customers, arcade sites tend to use up a LOT of bandwidth, and probably one of the more resource consuming sites after proxy-based ones, as well. I'd suggest a VPS or dedicated server for the more popular arcade sites, as you may find good memory and bandwidth key factors. Just make sure you do research first, a good place to check out is the webhosting offers section here on NP, as well as review sites, webhosting disucssion forums, etc.

I think you should go for vps or dedicated server and if you have good budget then you should definately go for dedicated server.

Wrong kind of arcade. He means online flash arcade. In that case I agree with PolurNet on the VPS/Dedi.
