Technically, this is not really a .TV related item; however, some of the regulars here will understand this post.

I include a screenshot of my hosting plan CPanel. it has changed - as part of that change you see an advertised video player

Actually I am not. I was just surprised to see it on here as this was Ideago's conception. I know he had got a round of funding but appearing on Hostgator's CPanel could be quite a big step for the player.

Me? I'm going to be using MediaFront.org within a main site. That said, I am actually more interested in Viewbox than previously because of the instant panel switch buttons which are quite cool... You can switch from movie to picture to google map using toggle switches. It's actually quite convenient. It's just some overlays but it's quite a neat effect that seems easy to put together.

Bottom line is that it was more a shout out to Richard

To be honest I did not even know about this until you posted it since I left the day to day of running the company a couple of years ago.

About 7 years ago I had an idea for an interactive video player. An idea I originally called Qoof. About 2 years ago I saw that the market had turned and pushed the company to pivot using the same technology, but going after a broader market. We raised an additional $2,000,000 on this pivot and now I get to see the player in all sorts of cool places.

It is very gratifying to be using the web and to see a product you created being used, it's a very uplifting feeling
