

I am keenly aware of the UK market - in fact, that's where my last two sales have been as well. However, the reason your first name sold for so much was that car insurance is a universal term. Home insurance is not. You have to discount it for its lack of universiality. Unfortunatlely, if you don't capture all of the major global english-speaking markets, a .com name is not worth quite as much.
