domain Holy Crap - Sedo values this .ca domain at $29,999 - WebDots.ca

So I go to list a few domains on sedo and they give you the traditional 3-4 hundred bucks for suggested selling price.

I put in WebDots.ca and it shows me a suggested valuation at $29,999

USD Even

I was taking a stab at starting the bids at 1000 but holding out for a bit more.
Had a few minor offers on it but this valuation by Sedo just kinda took me off guard for a .ca domain.

They value some of my ccTLD's exceptionally high as well...Palestine(dot.)co.za @$24 995 and AsSeenOnTV.ga at $19 995

I wouldn't take their valuation too serious, same as the other appraisal tools out there... it's just a nice figure to quote when dealing with non-domainer end users.

WebDots.ca is a nice domain but me thinks Sedo is up the pole again with their suggested price...

Congratulations MapleDots.

I recently wrapped up a two month parking experiment using 40 domains that I think can be developed into either 'Brick & Mortar' frontends and of course a 'Digital Service Frontend', SEO, DN Registrar, List Segmentation (Data Mining) and so on. The results were, seriously 0.02euro.

hahaha gotta love the automated appraisal crap online, but don't discount the value simply because it's a .ca domain, they've had some decent sales posted over the years. Besides, the industry as a whole has a lot, a LOT, of questionable domain names selling for high prices every week.

That's a good appraisal, but shouldn't be a surprise with the massive success portable video recorders/cams like GoPro has enjoyed.... and mountain/ biking (at least in my part of the world) is a massive market.

Start designing a camera that doesn't run out of battery power, has massive storage capabilities (possibly syncs with smartphones to broadcast/store footage via Bluetooth) and have it constantly charging via the energy (kinetic) from the bike. hmmm.....wait a second, whaaat...did that just happen? Yup, it did.
